Today we woke up early to get into town to catch the bus to Nadi, The taxi to Nadi costs $200 or the bus is $11 each. The cutest kids were waiting for the bus with us, we bought them chippies and they were so stoked! Tried these Fijian Taro chips they were pretty good but quite spicy! The bus took 3 hours and we really should have bought a laptop to watch a movie or something. I even reverted to playing the talking tom app with the cat which is pretty much just on my phone for when kids say “got any games!” The beaches around Nadi and Denarau are not as good as the ones on our island, the sand is dark grey and the water is murky nothing like our beach! we had heaps of fun on the waterslide and playing in the pool at the resort, who says water slides are just for kids right!?
We went for a walk around port Denarau and got chocolate ice creams- the closest thing we got to having an easter egg! I saw my old flatmate Chelsea which was so nice and got to meet her boyfriend too. We had Dinner here too at a place called Cardo’s . We both ordered burgers and they were amazing, the chips were so good too. I was kinda guttered though cause they filled me up so much that i didn’t save room for the amazing desert menu!
We caught a taxi back to our accommodation and it was such a hilarious ride! The drivers friend in the back was absolutely sloshed and was cracking us up! The driver put the blue lights on and turned music up – was one of the most entertaining taxi rides I’ve had!
Sorry most of these photos are all so blue, blue light in the taxi and blue lights at the restaurant.
